Xylose

Description

Xylose is a naturally occurring monosaccharide, or simple sugar, found in various plants and woody materials. As a pentose sugar, it contains five carbon atoms and plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism. In skincare formulations, xylose has gained attention for its potential benefits in maintaining skin health and appearance.

This ingredient functions as a humectant, attracting and retaining moisture in the skin. Its hydrating properties help improve skin barrier function and reduce transepidermal water loss.
