Description

Vinyl acetate is a versatile synthetic compound widely used in cosmetic and skincare formulations. This colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet, fruity odor is an essential ingredient in various personal care products, particularly in hair styling formulations and adhesives for false eyelashes or nail applications.

In skincare, vinyl acetate is primarily employed as a film-forming agent and emulsion stabilizer. It forms a thin, flexible layer on the skin or hair surface, providing a smooth texture and helping to lock in moisture.
