Description

Tridecanal is a synthetic aldehyde commonly used in skincare and fragrance formulations. This colorless to pale yellow liquid is characterized by its potent, fresh, and slightly floral odor with aldehydic nuances. In skincare applications, tridecanal serves multiple purposes beyond its aromatic properties.

As a sebum-control agent, tridecanal helps regulate excess oil production on the skin's surface, making it beneficial for individuals with oily or acne-prone skin. It exhibits mild antimicrobial properties, potentially aiding in the reduction of acne-causing bacteria. Tridecanal also functions as a skin-conditioning agent, contributing to improved texture and softness.

In formulations, tridecanol is typically used in concentrations ranging from 0.01% to 0.1%. It synergizes well with other ingredients, enhancing the overall efficacy of skincare products.
