Description

Thioglycerin, also known as thioglycerol or 3-mercapto-1,2-propanediol, is a multifunctional ingredient in skincare and cosmetic formulations. This colorless, viscous liquid is a derivative of glycerin, with a sulfhydryl group replacing one of the hydroxyl groups. Thioglycerin exhibits potent antioxidant properties, effectively neutralizing free radicals and protecting the skin from oxidative stress.

In skincare applications, thioglycerin serves as a humectant, drawing moisture to the skin and helping to maintain hydration.
