Description

Testicular extract, derived from animal testes, primarily bulls, is a controversial and rarely used ingredient in skincare formulations. This extract contains various bioactive compounds, including testosterone, growth factors, and enzymes. Historically, it was believed to possess rejuvenating properties and was used in anti-aging treatments.

The primary components of testicular extract include proteins, peptides, and hormones, particularly testosterone and its precursors. These compounds are thought to potentially stimulate collagen production, improve skin elasticity, and promote cellular regeneration. Some studies suggest that topical application of testosterone may increase skin thickness and reduce wrinkles, particularly in postmenopausal women.
