Description

TEA-Sulfate, also known as Triethanolamine Lauryl Sulfate, is a synthetic surfactant widely used in personal care products and cosmetic formulations. This anionic compound is derived from the reaction between triethanolamine and lauryl sulfate, resulting in a mild cleansing agent with good foaming properties.

In skincare and haircare applications, TEA-Sulfate functions primarily as an emulsifying and cleansing agent. It effectively removes dirt, oil, and other impurities from the skin and hair while helping to create a rich, creamy lather. Compared to some other sulfates, TEA-Sulfate is generally considered gentler and less likely to cause irritation, making it suitable for use in products designed for sensitive skin.

TEA-Sulfate also acts as a thickening agent, improving the texture and viscosity of formulations. It aids in the stabilization of emulsions and can enhance the overall performance of products.
