TEA-HYDROGENATED COCOATE

Description

TEA-Hydrogenated Cocoate is a multifunctional cosmetic ingredient derived from coconut oil. This synthetic emollient and surfactant is created through the reaction of triethanolamine (TEA) with hydrogenated coconut fatty acids. It serves as an effective emulsifier, helping to blend oil and water-based components in skincare and haircare formulations.

The ingredient exhibits excellent moisturizing properties, forming a protective barrier on the skin to prevent moisture loss. Its mild nature makes it suitable for use in products designed for sensitive skin. TEA-Hydrogenated Cocoate also functions as a cleansing agent, helping to remove dirt and oil from the skin and hair without excessive drying.

In cosmetic formulations, it contributes to the smooth texture and spreadability of products. Its pH-adjusting capabilities help maintain the stability of formulations. TEA-Hydrogenated Cocoate is commonly found in cleansers, lotions, creams, and hair conditioners.

While generally considered safe for cosmetic use, individuals with coconut allergies should exercise caution. As with any ingredient, patch testing is recommended before widespread use to ensure compatibility with individual skin types.
