SYNTHETIC SAPPHIRE

Description

Synthetic sapphire is an innovative ingredient in advanced skincare formulations, prized for its unique optical and physical properties. This lab-created crystalline form of aluminum oxide mimics the structure of natural sapphire gemstones but is engineered for cosmetic applications. The material is finely milled into a smooth powder, allowing for seamless integration into various skincare products.

Synthetic sapphire particles act as light diffusers, creating a soft-focus effect that can visibly blur the appearance of fine lines and imperfections on the skin's surface. This optical property contributes to a more even-toned and radiant complexion. Additionally, the hardness and inert nature of synthetic sapphire make it an excellent gentle exfoliant, helping to slough off dead skin cells without causing micro-tears or irritation.

The ingredient is hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic, making it suitable for all skin types, including sensitive skin. Synthetic sapphire is often incorporated into primers, foundations, and finishing powders for its light-reflecting qualities, as well as in exfoliating scrubs and masks for its smoothing effects. Its stability and resistance to degradation ensure consistent performance in various formulations.
