SYNTHETIC FLUORPHLOGOPITE

Description

Synthetic fluorphlogopite is an engineered alternative to natural mica, widely used in cosmetic and personal care products. This crystalline silicate mineral is produced through a controlled process that results in uniform, plate-like particles with exceptional light-reflecting properties. Its chemical composition includes magnesium, aluminum, silicon, and fluorine.

The ingredient offers several advantages over natural mica, including consistent quality, purity, and a lower risk of contamination. Synthetic fluorphlogopite provides excellent opacity and a smooth, silky texture to formulations. It effectively scatters light, creating a soft-focus effect that can minimize the appearance of fine lines and skin imperfections.

In skincare and cosmetic applications, synthetic fluorphlogopite is utilized as a bulking agent, texturizer, and optical diffuser. It's commonly found in foundations, powders, eyeshadows, and other color cosmetics. The material is inert and non-reactive, making it suitable for sensitive skin formulations. Its stability under various pH conditions and compatibility with other ingredients make it versatile in product development.

Synthetic fluorphlogopite is considered safe for cosmetic use and is approved by regulatory bodies worldwide, including the FDA and EU Commission.
