Description

Steareth-200 is a versatile polyethylene glycol ether of stearyl alcohol, widely used in skincare and cosmetic formulations. This non-ionic surfactant and emulsifier is derived from ethoxylated stearyl alcohol, with an average of 200 ethylene oxide units per molecule. Its high molecular weight contributes to its exceptional emulsifying and stabilizing properties.

In skincare products, Steareth-200 functions as an effective emulsifier, helping to blend oil and water-based ingredients into a stable, homogeneous mixture. It also acts as a thickening agent, improving the texture and consistency of creams, lotions, and serums. The ingredient's ability to form a protective film on the skin's surface helps to lock in moisture and enhance product efficacy.
