Description

Steardimonium Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride is a quaternary ammonium compound widely used in personal care and cosmetic formulations. This multifunctional ingredient serves primarily as a conditioning agent and anti-static additive in hair care products, skin care formulations, and various cosmetics.

The compound is derived from stearic acid and features a positively charged hydrophilic head group attached to a hydrophobic tail. This unique structure allows it to adhere to negatively charged surfaces, such as hair and skin, providing excellent conditioning and softening properties. In hair care products, it helps to detangle, reduce frizz, and improve manageability without causing buildup or weighing down the hair.
