Description

Sodium Polyacrylate is a synthetic polymer widely used in skincare and cosmetic formulations for its exceptional moisture-retention properties. This superabsorbent compound can hold up to 300 times its weight in water, making it a valuable ingredient in hydrating products. Its chemical structure consists of a sodium salt of polyacrylic acid, forming a cross-linked network that efficiently binds water molecules.

In skincare applications, Sodium Polyacrylate functions as a thickening agent, stabilizer, and emulsion enhancer. It contributes to the smooth, creamy texture of lotions and creams while improving their spreadability on the skin.
