Description

Sodium paraben is a widely used preservative in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products, known for its effectiveness in preventing microbial growth and extending shelf life. This synthetic compound is the sodium salt of para-hydroxybenzoic acid, belonging to the paraben family of preservatives. Sodium paraben exhibits broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity, particularly against molds and yeasts, making it valuable in water-based formulations.
