Description

Sodium O-Phenylphenate, also known as sodium orthophenylphenol or SOPP, is a widely used antimicrobial agent in the skincare and cosmetic industry. This synthetic compound is derived from phenol and exhibits broad-spectrum activity against bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Its effectiveness in preserving formulations has made it a valuable ingredient in various personal care products.

SOPP functions by disrupting the cellular membranes of microorganisms, effectively inhibiting their growth and reproduction.
