Description

Sodium metasilicate is a powerful alkaline compound widely used in skincare and cosmetic formulations. This inorganic salt, with the chemical formula Na2SiO3, is derived from the reaction of sodium carbonate and silicon dioxide. Its high pH and ability to form stable solutions make it a versatile ingredient in various skincare applications.

In skincare, sodium metasilicate primarily functions as a pH adjuster and buffering agent. It helps maintain the stability of formulations and can enhance the efficacy of other active ingredients.
