Description

Sodium Dextran Sulfate (SDS) is a potent polyanionic macromolecule derived from dextran, a complex branched glucan. This synthetic ingredient is characterized by its high molecular weight and strong negative charge, which contribute to its unique properties in skincare formulations. SDS functions primarily as a film-forming agent and skin conditioner, creating a protective barrier on the skin's surface.

The molecule's structure allows it to bind effectively with water, enhancing hydration and potentially improving skin elasticity.
