Description

Ammonium benzoate is a versatile preservative widely used in cosmetic and personal care products. This white, crystalline compound is the ammonium salt of benzoic acid, known for its antimicrobial properties against bacteria, yeasts, and molds. With the chemical formula NH4C7H5O2, ammonium benzoate effectively inhibits microbial growth in a variety of formulations, particularly those with acidic to neutral pH levels.
