TRIPEPTIDE-33

Description

Tripeptide-33 is an innovative synthetic peptide designed to target multiple aspects of skin aging. This small molecule consists of three amino acids specifically sequenced to enhance collagen production and improve skin firmness. Clinical studies have shown that Tripeptide-33 can stimulate the synthesis of key extracellular matrix proteins, including type I and III collagen, as well as fibronectin.

The peptide works by activating transforming growth factor-beta (TGF-β), a crucial signaling molecule in skin regeneration and repair processes. This activation leads to increased fibroblast activity, resulting in improved skin elasticity and reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Tripeptide-33 has also demonstrated the ability to inhibit matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), enzymes responsible for breaking down collagen and elastin in the skin.

In skincare formulations, Tripeptide-33 is typically used at concentrations between 2-5%. It is water-soluble and stable in a wide pH range, making it compatible with various cosmetic bases. The ingredient shows good penetration through the stratum corneum, allowing for effective delivery to the dermis where it can exert its beneficial effects on skin structure and function.
