Description

Tetramethyl cyclopentene butenol (TMCB) is a synthetic fragrance ingredient widely used in the cosmetics and personal care industry. This colorless to pale yellow liquid compound belongs to the family of cyclic terpenes and is characterized by its woody, floral scent with subtle green and fruity undertones. TMCB is primarily valued for its ability to impart a natural, fresh aroma to various skincare and beauty products.

In formulations, TMCB acts as a fixative, helping to stabilize and prolong the overall fragrance profile of a product. Its molecular structure allows for slow evaporation, contributing to the longevity of scents.
