Description

Stannous chloride, also known as tin(II) chloride, is a versatile inorganic compound with the chemical formula SnCl2. In skincare formulations, it serves multiple functions, primarily as an antioxidant and reducing agent. This ingredient is particularly effective in stabilizing color and preventing oxidation in various cosmetic products.

When incorporated into skincare formulations, stannous chloride can help maintain product integrity by inhibiting the oxidation of other ingredients, thus extending shelf life. It also plays a role in preserving the efficacy of active ingredients that are susceptible to oxidative degradation.
