Common Name(s): Resveratrol tripentyl ether,resveratrol tripentyl ether,lipophilic resveratrol ether,stable sc-penetrating sirt1 activator
CAS Number: N/a
DESCRIPTION
What It Does: Provides sirt1 sirtuin anti-aging pathway activation, antioxidant radical scavenging, and anti-inflammatory nf-kb modulation from resveratrol in a highly lipophilic ether form with superior formulation stability and sc penetration versus free resveratrol.
Why It's Used: Tri-o-alkyl resveratrol ethers are among the most stable resveratrol derivatives — unlike ester derivatives (hydrolysis in water), ether bonds are essentially hydrolysis-resistant providing indefinite aqueous formulation stability while the sc delivers the ether to tissue esterases/etherases for slow resveratrol release.
How It Works: Tripentyl ether: each pentyl group raises logp by ~0.9 units → total logp ~8 → maximum sc lipid bilayer partitioning → very deep dermis delivery. slow ether bond cleavage by skin microsomal o-dealkylases → free resveratrol → sirt1 deacetylase activation → pgc-1α → mitochondrial biogenesis → anti-aging. phenol groups from ether cleavage → radical scavenging + nf-kb inhibition.

SCIENTIFIC NOTE
Ether vs ester resveratrol stability: ether bonds (c-o-c) are 100-1000× more resistant to hydrolysis than ester bonds (c(=o)-o-c) — the tripentyl ether provides essentially complete aqueous stability versus the rapid hydrolysis of resveratrol diacetate/dipalmitate in water-containing formulations.
