QUATERNIUM-95

Description

Quaternium-95 is a cationic conditioning agent widely used in haircare formulations. This quaternary ammonium compound is known for its excellent hair-softening and detangling properties, making it a valuable ingredient in conditioners, leave-in treatments, and styling products.

The chemical structure of Quaternium-95 consists of a positively charged nitrogen atom linked to four organic groups, allowing it to bind effectively to the negatively charged surface of hair strands. This ionic interaction helps to reduce static electricity and improve manageability, particularly in damaged or chemically treated hair.

Quaternium-95 forms a thin, protective film on the hair shaft, which enhances shine and smoothness without causing buildup or weighing down the hair. It is particularly effective in improving wet and dry combing, reducing friction between hair fibers, and minimizing breakage during styling.

This ingredient is compatible with a wide range of haircare formulations and performs well in both rinse-off and leave-in products. Quaternium-95 is also stable across various pH levels and temperatures, ensuring consistent performance in different product types.
