Description

Quaternium-61 is a cationic conditioning agent widely used in haircare and skincare formulations. This quaternary ammonium compound is prized for its ability to impart softness, manageability, and anti-static properties to hair and skin. Its chemical structure consists of a long hydrocarbon chain attached to a positively charged nitrogen atom, allowing it to adhere effectively to negatively charged surfaces like hair and skin.

In haircare products, Quaternium-61 forms a protective film on the hair shaft, reducing friction between strands and improving combability.
