Description

Polyquaternium-7 is a synthetic, water-soluble polymer widely used in personal care and cosmetic formulations. This cationic compound belongs to the family of quaternary ammonium compounds and is primarily valued for its conditioning and film-forming properties. Polyquaternium-7 is a copolymer of acrylamide and diallyldimethylammonium chloride (DADMAC), which gives it a unique combination of characteristics beneficial for various skincare and haircare applications.

In skincare products, Polyquaternium-7 functions as a humectant and moisturizer, helping to attract and retain water in the skin. It forms a thin, flexible film on the skin's surface, which can improve texture and provide a smooth feel.
