Description

Polyquaternium-15 is a synthetic, cationic polymer widely used in personal care and cosmetic formulations. This quaternary ammonium compound functions primarily as a film-forming agent, conditioning agent, and preservative enhancer. Its molecular structure consists of repeating units of quaternized dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate, providing it with a positive charge that allows it to adhere effectively to negatively charged surfaces like skin and hair.

In skincare products, Polyquaternium-15 forms a thin, protective film on the skin, helping to improve moisture retention and create a smoother texture.
