Description

Polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) is a high-performance thermoplastic polyester with exceptional barrier properties and mechanical strength. Derived from naphthalene-2,6-dicarboxylic acid and ethylene glycol, PEN offers superior resistance to gases, moisture, and UV radiation compared to its more common counterpart, polyethylene terephthalate (PET).

In skincare formulations, PEN is utilized primarily for its excellent packaging capabilities.
