POLYDIPENTENE

Description

Polydipentene is a synthetic hydrocarbon polymer derived from the polymerization of 1,3-pentadiene. This colorless, odorless substance is primarily used as an emollient and film-forming agent in various skincare and cosmetic formulations. Its molecular structure allows it to form a thin, flexible layer on the skin's surface, which helps to lock in moisture and create a smooth, supple feel.

In skincare products, polydipentene acts as an effective occlusive agent, reducing transepidermal water loss and enhancing skin hydration.
