Description

Polyacrylic acid (PAA) is a synthetic polymer widely used in skincare and cosmetic formulations due to its versatile properties. This water-soluble compound is composed of repeating acrylic acid units, forming long chains with carboxylic acid groups along its backbone. PAA functions as a highly effective thickening agent, emulsion stabilizer, and film-forming ingredient in various skincare products.

In skincare formulations, PAA acts as a humectant, drawing moisture from the environment to the skin's surface, thereby enhancing hydration and improving skin texture.
