PINUS PUMILIO BRANCH/LEAF OIL

Description

Pinus Pumilio Branch/Leaf Oil, derived from the Mountain Pine (Pinus mugo var. pumilio), is a potent essential oil with diverse applications in skincare and aromatherapy. This oil is steam-distilled from the needles and twigs of the dwarf pine, native to high-altitude regions of Central and Eastern Europe.

Rich in monoterpenes, particularly α- and β-pinene, the oil exhibits strong antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. These characteristics make it beneficial for treating various skin conditions, including acne, eczema, and psoriasis. The oil's natural astringent qualities help tighten pores and regulate sebum production, making it suitable for oily and combination skin types.

Pinus Pumilio Oil is known for its fresh, woody scent with balsamic undertones, contributing to its use in aromatherapy for respiratory issues and stress relief. In skincare formulations, it's often incorporated at concentrations between 0.1% to 1% due to its potency.

While generally well-tolerated, the oil may cause sensitization in some individuals. Patch testing is recommended before widespread use. Its strong aroma necessitates careful blending in formulations to avoid overpowering other ingredients.
