Description

Phospholipids are essential components of cell membranes and play a crucial role in skincare formulations. These amphiphilic molecules consist of a hydrophilic head group containing phosphate and two hydrophobic fatty acid tails. This unique structure allows phospholipids to form bilayers, micelles, and liposomes, making them valuable in cosmetic applications.

They help repair and maintain the skin barrier by mimicking the natural lipid structure of the stratum corneum.
