Description

Phosphatidylglycerol (PG) is a vital phospholipid found naturally in cell membranes, particularly in plants and microorganisms. In skincare and haircare formulations, PG serves as an effective emollient and moisturizing agent. Its unique molecular structure, consisting of a glycerol backbone attached to two fatty acid chains and a phosphate group, allows it to form stable bilayers that mimic the skin's natural lipid barrier.
