Description

Pentadecalactone is a synthetic musk compound widely used in the fragrance and cosmetic industries. This cyclic lactone molecule, also known as exaltolide or omega-pentadecalactone, is prized for its long-lasting, subtle musk scent with warm, creamy undertones. In skincare formulations, pentadecalactone serves multiple purposes beyond its aromatic properties.

As a fixative, it enhances the longevity of other fragrance components in a product. Its low molecular weight allows for efficient skin penetration, contributing to improved product absorption.
