Description

PEI-700, or Polyethylenimine-700, is a versatile synthetic polymer utilized in various skincare and haircare formulations. This high molecular weight compound is primarily recognized for its cationic nature, which allows it to form strong electrostatic bonds with negatively charged surfaces, including hair and skin.

In haircare products, PEI-700 functions as a conditioning agent and film-former. It adheres to the hair shaft, creating a protective layer that enhances smoothness, reduces frizz, and improves manageability. This ingredient is particularly beneficial for damaged or chemically treated hair, as it can help temporarily seal split ends and protect against further environmental damage.
