PEG-70 LANOLIN

Description

PEG-70 Lanolin is a versatile and highly effective emollient derived from lanolin, a natural wax secreted by wool-bearing animals. This modified form of lanolin is created through ethoxylation, a process that introduces polyethylene glycol (PEG) groups to enhance its solubility and compatibility with other ingredients in skincare formulations.

As a potent moisturizer, PEG-70 Lanolin helps to soften and smooth the skin by forming a protective barrier that reduces transepidermal water loss. Its unique molecular structure allows it to penetrate the skin's surface, delivering hydration to deeper layers. This ingredient is particularly beneficial for dry, rough, or compromised skin conditions.

In cosmetic formulations, PEG-70 Lanolin functions as an emulsifier and stabilizer, helping to blend oil and water-based components. It also exhibits excellent spreading properties, enhancing the texture and application of products. Due to its modified nature, PEG-70 Lanolin is less likely to cause allergic reactions compared to unmodified lanolin, making it suitable for a wider range of skin types.
