PAPAIN

Description

Papain is a proteolytic enzyme derived from the papaya fruit (Carica papaya). This powerful enzyme has gained significant attention in skincare formulations due to its ability to break down proteins and exfoliate the skin gently. Papain works by catalyzing the hydrolysis of peptide bonds, effectively dissolving dead skin cells and promoting cellular turnover.

In skincare products, papain is valued for its exfoliating, brightening, and anti-inflammatory properties. It can help improve skin texture, reduce the appearance of fine lines, and even out skin tone.
