Description

P-Phenylenediamine HCl, also known as PPD, is a potent hair dye ingredient widely used in permanent and semi-permanent hair coloring products. This synthetic compound is prized for its ability to penetrate the hair shaft and create long-lasting color results. When combined with an oxidizing agent, PPD undergoes a chemical reaction that produces larger, colored molecules within the hair cortex.

PPD is particularly effective in covering gray hair and producing dark shades, ranging from brown to black.
