OLIGOPEPTIDE-33

Description

Oligopeptide-33 is a synthetic peptide gaining prominence in advanced skincare formulations. This small protein fragment consists of a specific sequence of amino acids designed to target skin aging concerns. Its primary function is to stimulate collagen production and promote skin cell renewal, contributing to improved skin elasticity and firmness.

In vitro studies have shown that Oligopeptide-33 can activate fibroblasts, the cells responsible for producing collagen and elastin in the skin. This activation leads to increased synthesis of these crucial structural proteins, potentially reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Additionally, the peptide has demonstrated an ability to enhance skin barrier function, which may result in better hydration and protection against environmental stressors.

Oligopeptide-33 is typically incorporated into serums, creams, and other anti-aging skincare products at low concentrations, usually between 1-5 ppm. Its small molecular size allows for efficient penetration into the skin, enhancing its efficacy. While clinical studies on Oligopeptide-33 are limited, preliminary results suggest it may be a promising ingredient for addressing signs of skin aging and improving overall skin quality.
