Description

Oleth-7 is a versatile emulsifier and surfactant commonly used in skincare and personal care formulations. This synthetic ingredient is derived from ethoxylated oleyl alcohol, a fatty alcohol obtained from natural sources such as coconut or palm oil. Oleth-7 functions primarily as a solubilizer, helping to blend oil-based and water-based ingredients in cosmetic products.

In skincare formulations, Oleth-7 aids in creating stable emulsions, improving the texture and spreadability of creams and lotions. It also enhances the penetration of active ingredients into the skin, potentially increasing their efficacy. The ingredient exhibits mild cleansing properties, making it suitable for gentle facial cleansers and makeup removers.

Oleth-7 has a low potential for skin irritation and is generally well-tolerated by most skin types. However, individuals with extremely sensitive skin may experience mild reactions.
