Description

Macadamia ternifolia seed oil, commonly known as macadamia oil, is a lightweight, non-comedogenic emollient derived from the nuts of the macadamia tree native to Australia. This nutrient-rich oil is characterized by its high concentration of monounsaturated fatty acids, particularly oleic acid (up to 60%), which closely resembles human sebum. This similarity allows macadamia oil to penetrate the skin effectively, providing deep hydration without leaving a greasy residue.

The oil is also abundant in palmitoleic acid, a rare omega-7 fatty acid that supports skin barrier function and promotes cell regeneration.
