LANOLIN OIL

Description

Lanolin oil is a natural, waxy substance derived from sheep's wool, widely used in skincare and haircare formulations. This versatile ingredient possesses remarkable emollient and occlusive properties, making it highly effective in moisturizing and protecting both skin and hair. Lanolin oil's molecular structure closely resembles human sebum, allowing it to penetrate and nourish the skin deeply while forming a protective barrier against moisture loss.

In skincare, lanolin oil is particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, or compromised skin. It helps to soothe irritation, reduce inflammation, and promote healing. The oil's water-binding capacity enables it to hydrate the skin effectively, improving elasticity and reducing the appearance of fine lines. In haircare, lanolin oil helps to condition and soften hair strands, prevent breakage, and add shine.

Despite its animal origin, lanolin oil is considered a renewable resource and is often used in natural and organic product formulations. However, it's important to note that some individuals may experience allergic reactions to lanolin, necessitating patch testing before widespread use.
