Description

Isostearyl alcohol is a versatile, synthetic fatty alcohol derived from isostearic acid. This multifunctional ingredient serves as an emollient, emulsifier, and thickening agent in various skincare and cosmetic formulations. Its molecular structure consists of a long, branched carbon chain with a hydroxyl group, providing both lipophilic and hydrophilic properties.

In skincare products, isostearyl alcohol acts as a skin-conditioning agent, helping to soften and smooth the skin's surface.
