Description

Iodopropynyl butylcarbamate (IPBC) is a synthetic preservative widely used in personal care products and cosmetics. This water-soluble compound is highly effective against fungi, yeasts, and certain bacteria, making it an important ingredient for extending product shelf life and preventing microbial contamination.

IPBC functions optimally at low concentrations, typically between 0.02% to 0.1%, offering broad-spectrum antimicrobial protection.
