HYDROXYETHYL-2,6-DINITRO-P-ANISIDINE
Description
HYDROXYETHYL-2,6-DINITRO-P-ANISIDINE, also known as HC Yellow No. 4, is a synthetic hair dye ingredient primarily used in semi-permanent and temporary hair coloring products. This organic compound belongs to the class of nitro dyes and imparts a vibrant yellow hue to hair fibers. Its molecular structure allows for effective penetration into the hair shaft, resulting in longer-lasting color compared to some other temporary dyes.
This ingredient is particularly effective in creating warm, golden tones and is often used in combination with other dyes to achieve a wide range of blonde and light brown shades. HC Yellow No. 4 is approved for use in hair dye formulations by regulatory bodies in many countries, including the European Union, with specific concentration limits.
While generally considered safe for use in hair coloring products, some individuals may experience skin sensitivity or allergic reactions. As with all hair dyes, it is recommended to perform a patch test before full application. HC Yellow No. 4 is not intended for use around the eyes or on the scalp, and it should not be used for dyeing eyelashes or eyebrows.
