Hydroxyapatite is a naturally occurring mineral form of calcium apatite, with the chemical formula Ca₁₀(PO₄)₆(OH)₂. It is a primary component of tooth enamel and bone mineral, comprising up to 70% of human bone structure. In skincare and cosmetic applications, synthetic hydroxyapatite is utilized for its unique properties and biocompatibility with human tissue.

This ingredient functions as an effective remineralizing agent, particularly in oral care products where it helps restore tooth enamel and reduce sensitivity.
