HYDROGENATED WALNUT SEED OIL

Description

Hydrogenated Walnut Seed Oil is a modified version of the natural oil extracted from walnuts (Juglans regia). Through hydrogenation, the unsaturated fatty acids in walnut oil are converted to saturated fatty acids, resulting in a more stable and solid form at room temperature. This process enhances the oil's shelf life and alters its texture, making it suitable for various skincare applications.

The ingredient is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, particularly linoleic acid, which supports skin barrier function and helps maintain hydration. It also contains antioxidants, including vitamin E, which protect the skin from free radical damage and environmental stressors. Hydrogenated Walnut Seed Oil exhibits emollient properties, helping to soften and smooth the skin's surface.

In skincare formulations, this ingredient is often used as a thickening agent, texture enhancer, and moisturizer. It can be found in various products, including creams, lotions, and balms. The hydrogenated form is less prone to oxidation compared to its non-hydrogenated counterpart, ensuring greater stability in formulations. While generally well-tolerated, individuals with nut allergies should exercise caution when using products containing this ingredient.
