HYDROGENATED PISTACIA VERA SEED OIL

Description

Hydrogenated Pistacia Vera Seed Oil is a specialized skincare ingredient derived from the seeds of the pistachio tree (Pistacia vera). This oil undergoes a hydrogenation process, which alters its chemical structure, enhancing stability and extending shelf life. The resulting ingredient is a semi-solid or solid substance at room temperature, with a smooth, buttery texture.

This modified oil retains many of the beneficial properties of regular pistachio seed oil, including its rich content of fatty acids, particularly oleic and linoleic acids. These components contribute to its emollient and moisturizing properties, helping to soften and smooth the skin. Hydrogenated Pistacia Vera Seed Oil also contains vitamins E and K, which offer antioxidant benefits and potential support for skin barrier function.

In skincare formulations, this ingredient serves multiple purposes. It acts as an effective occlusive agent, forming a protective barrier on the skin to reduce moisture loss. Its texture-enhancing properties make it valuable in creating luxurious, spreadable products. Additionally, the oil's stability makes it suitable for various cosmetic applications, including creams, lotions, and balms, where it can contribute to product consistency and skin-feel without compromising formulation integrity.
