Hexadecene is a versatile synthetic hydrocarbon compound widely used in skincare and cosmetic formulations. This colorless, odorless liquid is an alkene with a straight chain of 16 carbon atoms and one double bond. In skincare, hexadecene functions primarily as an emollient and texture enhancer.
