HC ORANGE NO. 6

Description

HC Orange No. 6 is a synthetic hair dye that belongs to the azo dye family, widely used in semi-permanent and temporary hair coloring products. This vibrant orange pigment is particularly effective in imparting warm, copper-like hues to hair, making it a popular choice for creating auburn and reddish-orange shades. Unlike permanent hair dyes, HC Orange No. 6 does not penetrate the hair shaft deeply, instead coating the hair's surface and gradually washing out over time.

The dye is typically formulated with other colorants to achieve a range of desired shades and is often combined with conditioning agents to improve hair texture and manageability. HC Orange No. 6 is generally considered safe for use in hair coloring products when applied according to manufacturer instructions. However, as with all hair dyes, it may cause allergic reactions in some individuals, necessitating patch testing before use.

This colorant is most effective on pre-lightened or naturally light hair, as it cannot lift or lighten existing hair color. The longevity of the color depends on factors such as hair porosity, frequency of washing, and exposure to sunlight and heat styling.
