Description

Glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) are essential components of the skin's extracellular matrix, playing a crucial role in maintaining skin hydration, elasticity, and overall health. These long, unbranched polysaccharides are composed of repeating disaccharide units and are classified into several types, including hyaluronic acid, chondroitin sulfate, and dermatan sulfate. In skincare formulations, GAGs, particularly hyaluronic acid, are prized for their potent hydrating properties.
