Description

Glycereth-8 is a polyethylene glycol (PEG) derivative of glycerin, functioning as an emollient and humectant in skincare and cosmetic formulations. This synthetic ingredient is created through the ethoxylation process, where ethylene oxide is added to glycerin, resulting in a water-soluble compound with enhanced moisturizing properties.

As a humectant, Glycereth-8 attracts and retains moisture from the environment, helping to maintain skin hydration.
